With a cast of almost 50 people from all backgrounds, ethnicities and walks of life, the music video, “Good People,” featuring singer/songwriter Josh Grider, captures the pure joy of showing kindness to strangers and celebrates our everyday heroes. The message is simple, the world is beautiful and love rules. Thanks to all of the cast and crew for being a part of it.
During SXSW this year we had the opportunity to crew up and shoot a few artists in town for the festival. Appelsap hired us to grab the visual emotion that the musical portion SXSW brings to Austin. What looked like a crazy night on the streets turned into a beautiful piece of film created by multiple film makers from around the world. We couldn't be happier to be apart of this journey and thank them for the opportunity.

“Treading Water” has received the Award of Excellence in Social Responsibility and the Award of Distinction in Video Activism by the 23rd Annual Communicator Awards. The purpose of this project was to spark meaningful conversations about a social injustice that is so ingrained in our society, it is often overlooked. We hope that it will be the first of many projects like this for 360 Studios. As storytellers, we are privileged to have the opportunity to deliver messages for social change and we are grateful to the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts for recognizing our work.
On a Thursday evening, with only a day of notice and planning, eleven women came together to take a stand against sexism. Although coming from different backgrounds and having different stories, they all shared the same struggle:
Their protest would be unique, involving wrestling with chains and tulle strategically placed under more than 10 feet of water. Despite the apparent danger, they bravely participated because this was their opportunity to make a stand against sexism-- something that every woman, no matter race, size or status deals with.
A major thank you goes out to the 360 team who helped pull this off in less than 48 hours, and a round of applause for these dedicated, confident, vulnerable, and inspired women. They are strong, smart and beautiful, inside and out. They are a reflection of all of us, and it is our duty and right to do our part to #endsexism.
Join us this Labor Day, Monday, September 5th for a rally on the state capitol's SW grounds from 12PM to 3PM. Enjoy food, beverages, events and guest speakers in support of the Texas Film Industry. WE NEED YOU! The goal is to show up in such numbers that it commands the attention of our state legislators and the media. Drawing attention to our industry and building relationships with decision-makers is key.
The film industry is already seeing the huge impact of last year’s state budget cuts to the film incentive program, decreasing it by two-thirds. Because of this, many big productions such as, “From Dusk Til Dawn,” by Austin director Robert Rodriguez, have relocated to surrounding states with better tax incentives. Losing these big productions not only hurts those in the Texas Film Industry, but the local economy suffers as well.
The last rally on the steps of the capitol helped to pass House Bill 873 for competitive film incentives in the state of Texas. We need to get it back so that our industry and our local economy can thrive again. YOU can make the difference just by showing up.
